The battery drains quicker than expected
Battery life can depend on a number of factors, including the age of the battery, temperature conditions, and the settings used on the goggles.
You may wish to try the following to reduce battery consumption:
-
Check that the software is updated by syncing the goggles to your FORM Swim App. The app will tell you if there is a newer version to download;
-
Check the settings you have on the goggles display: leaving the brightness at its maximum level will drain the battery quicker than usual.
- If you prefer, you can turn off auto-sync, which will increase battery life but not allow for automatic syncing between the goggles and your phone
- Make sure to switch off the goggles manually. If you leave the goggles on during swim mode with no movement, the goggles will auto-pause after 20 minutes. If the goggles are left in pause they will shutdown after 2 hours. In this case, your swim will be saved automatically.
If you leave the goggles on outside of swim mode (after you have saved or discarded your swim), they will automatically shut themselves down after 20 minutes. We recommend turning them off manually, though, by holding down the FRONT button until the display turns off (roughly 3-5 seconds).
