When an update is released, it may be a software update only (for the app) or a software and firmware update (for the goggles also).

If the update is for the app only, you can update your app by activating automatic updates for apps on your phone, or by visiting the app store to manually download the update.

For firmware updates, you will first need to download the app (software) update as mentioned. Once you have the latest version of the app on your phone, open the app and turn on your goggles nearby so that the app prompts you to allow the update. If the update is not offered to you through the app when you turn on the goggles, you can also trigger it by navigating to the My Goggles tab of the app then tapping on the "goggles settings" line where it says "update available". The goggles' display and the app screen will both indicate when the update is taking place.
