The goggles are showing incorrect metrics
If you have noticed that your goggles or the app are showing inaccurate or incorrect data compared to what you swam, there may be a few potential explanations. Your goggles will use a number of points of reference to accurately track your swims, but there are a few things that may cause the goggles to misinterpret your movements:
-
Switching stroke type mid-length
-
Swimming at inconsistent speeds
-
Stopping or walking mid-length
-
Using a stroke that is not one of the following: breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle or butterfly.
-
Performing drills that limit head movement, such as kicking, outside of Drills mode
-
Switching lanes, walking, or other movement may cause the goggles to leave rest mode or the motion detector to fill completely
- Using training equipment such as a pull buoy or a snorkel, outside of Drills mode
If your goggles have incorrectly registered a turn, a stroke or a swim, this should be fixed automatically when the swim is processed during the sync.
