Analyzing your pool swims
The first information you will see about your swim session is the swim tile. For pool swims, this tile will show a graph as well as display the time, distance and average pace along the top of the tile. If you swam a Workout or a Workout as part of a Plan, the name of the Workout (and Plan) would be displayed on the swim tile. Tapping on the Workout name will take you to the Workout Details page and, if the Workout was part of a Plan, tapping on the Workout name will allow you to choose to go to the Workout Details page or the Plan Details page.
The below images show how to read the graph:
* Drills bar will always be the same height and does not affect your average pace.
Tapping on the graph will bring you to a detailed analysis of the swim session. The sections in this view are described below.
Summary Tile & View Swim Details
This section summarizes the data and displays the same graph as on the Swims screen.
If the swim is a free swim, below the graph, you will see the option to quickly create a guided workout from this swim. Tapping this will open a draft guided workout in the builder which you can edit and then save. You can see more about workouts here: How do I build my own custom workout?
Tapping on ‘View Swim Details’ brings you to a new screen where you can review your swim by each individual length or by auto-grouped sets by toggling the option at the top of the screen. To see more columns for each length, scroll to the right hand side of the screen.
Note: for lengths where an outlier was detected (either because you may have used equipment, or you may have been stuck behind someone in the lane etc), the FORM Score will show in Swim Details in brackets and in lighter colour text.
Heart Rate (if available)
If you swam with the FORM Smart Swim Goggles 2 or had a heart rate device connected during your swim, your heart rate zones are displayed as well as your average and maximum heart rate. Your heart rate is also visible on the graph on the swim tile.
Swim Breakdown
This tile shows the swim broken down by time and by distance. You can also tap ‘View Stroke Statistics’ to see information about each stroke type listed in more detail.
SWOLF
The SWOLF tile shows a summary of your SWOLF score. SWOLF is an efficiency metric derived from adding each length time with the stroke count. A lower score indicates higher efficiency.
Tapping ‘View SWOLF Per Length’ shows a breakdown of the SWOLF score for each length you swam.
