How to control your swim with a smartwatch
If you have a smartwatch connected to your goggles for an open water swim, you will not be using the goggles’ buttons to pause or end the swim. Instead, the watch will be the control for the swim, and will be the device that records all the swim data.
Garmin smartwatches
- Open an open water, triathlon or multi activity on your Garmin smartwatch
- Turn on the goggles
- Once you see the goggles and watch are connected, start the swim on your watch
- Pausing, resuming and ending the swim are all controlled from the watch
- When you finish your swim, you can view a summary of the swim in your goggles
- If you are recording a triathlon, proceeding to the transition will stop displaying data in the goggles
- The goggles can be put away to shut down automatically or manually turned off by holding the front button for 3 seconds.
Apple Watch
