What are HeadCoach™ Workouts?
HeadCoach™ Workouts are generated for you based on your recent swim data. We take a holistic look at your swimming to understand who you are as a swimmer, and what areas you can focus on to improve.
How are HeadCoach™ Workouts generated?
As well as the duration of your swims and your overall swimming speed, HeadCoach™ takes into account the following in order to generate a workout:
- FORM Score
- Distance Per Stroke (DPS)
- Stroke Rate
- HeadCoach™ Skill Metrics
- Your preferences for drills and available equipment
We also track how these data points change when you are swimming faster or slower, and over longer or shorter distances. This gives us a better sense of where your swimming is today, and how your swimming changes during the course of a workout.
Each time you sync a swim, your workouts will be updated. You will usually have three HeadCoach™ Workouts available: one each for technique, endurance and power.
Where can I find HeadCoach™ Workouts?
In the app, you will find these workouts in the Workouts tab. If you aren't following a plan, and don't have any imported swims scheduled for that day, the recommended HeadCoach™ Workout will also show in your Up Next on the Home tab.
The HeadCoach™ Workouts are automatically saved to your goggles so you can swim them anytime.
How can I adjust HeadCoach™ Workouts?
There are three ways to adjust or edit the workouts to your needs:
- In the app, you can tap on the Adjust button on the workout tile. This pops open the workout editor screen and you can use the + and - buttons to add or remove time from the workout. This works in roughly 5 minute increments and will adjust the distance and the sets accordingly. Save the workout when you are done and the workout will be synced to your goggles if they are nearby.
- In the app, you can tap on the Adjust button and edit the workout manually by adding, removing or modifying intervals or lengths. This allows a more controlled way to edit the workout. Once you have saved it, the workout will be synced to your goggles if they are nearby.
- During your swim, you can skip or repeat intervals by pressing the front button. This allows you to skip ahead or add more to your workout, as needed. And, as always, you can save & quit your workout whenever you want!
