Lesson 5: Getting the most out of your swim
Lessons 1 - 4 cover the basics of using the goggles, but there is a lot more you can do with them! Below are some features you might not know about - they will help you personalize your experience with the goggles and get the most out of them!
Configuring your dashboards
While swimming, you can choose which metrics you see in your goggles during three distinct periods:
- Swim (this dashboard is shown while you are actively swimming)
- Turn (this dashboard appears briefly when a turn is detected)
- Rest (this dashboard is automatically shown when resting is detected)

In "interval swim" mode, the interval finish time is briefly shown when you transition from swimming to resting.
To configure these dashboards, navigate to the goggles screen through the FORM Swim App. You can configure each dashboard's metrics, as well as the transition time for the turn dashboard.
The swim and turn dashboards have one forced metric on the top, and one configurable metric on the bottom of the screen in the goggles. The rest dashboard has one forced metric on the top, and up to three configurable metrics on the bottom.
Changing the display orientation, brightness and dashboard transition time
The lens with the display can be configured for your left or right eye. By default, it's set up for your right eye. If you wish to change it to the left eye, you can do this in the app (explained below) or through the goggles settings menu.
To change the display orientation, display brightness or dashboard transition time in the app, select the "my goggles" screen and select the settings icon in the top right-hand corner.
If the goggles are connected the change should sync immediately. If the goggles aren't connected, the change will take effect the next time you sync.
You can set a weekly goal based on distance, time or calories. To set a new weekly goal, navigate to your profile and select "no weekly goal." On the next screen, you will have the option to set a new goal. Once you have entered the desired goal, tap "save." You will now see that your new goal appears on your profile screen.
To edit or delete your goal, navigate to your profile and tap the current weekly goal. This will take you to "my weekly goal." In the top right-hand corner, tap the three dots for the option to edit or delete the goal.
When you achieve your goal, you will get a notification to let you know!
Editing or deleting a swim
You can edit or delete a swim from your history by tapping the three dots in the top right-hand corner either from your feed or from the swim details screen. Once you do this, you will see the option to edit or delete the swim. Deleting the swim will remove it from your profile and stats entirely. The activity cannot be retrieved once this has been selected.
If you choose to edit the swim, you will be able to:
Change the privacy of this swim only (if you wish to change your account's privacy, please see here);
Change the status attached to this swim (by default, it will show as "morning/lunch/afternoon/evening swim" but you can change it to say whatever you want!);
Add a location for the swim.
