What are the swim types I can choose from?
You can choose between lap swim and intervals, both while configuring your goggles and starting a swim.
A lap swim is for fitness and casual swimming, whereas intervals is for team practice and swimming sets. Both modes track all of your movements and stats in the pool and let you review them afterwards in the app, however they differ in the way the information is organized and how you see your stats while swimming.
Lap swim tracks total stats across your entire swim and can provide detailed stats for each length you complete. When you sync the swim to the FORM Swim App, you can view the stats for each length tracked.
Intervals can track the same stats provided in lap swim, however it can also provide stats for each interval. An interval is a component of a set (e.g. in a 4x200 set, each 200 is an interval). In the pool, the timer at the top of the screen shows the duration of the current interval. Pushing off after a rest period resets the timer and starts a new interval. When you sync the swim to the FORM Swim App, your sets are automatically detected and grouped for review.
You can use drills mode when performing skill-based drills (e.g., kicks, single-arm freestyle). If you perform drills outside drills mode, the goggles may not correctly track your stroke and distance. In drills mode, only time is tracked and displayed on screen. When exiting drills mode, you can manually adjust the estimated distance. To access drills mode during a swim, press any button to enter the pause menu then select drills.
